What Styles Of Music Do You Play?
I'm an Open Format DJ and Singer. I like to have fun! When I'm DJing for a client, their musical vision is the focus. It's not about my ego, it's about creating a musical experience that represents the clients' needs and musical background, no matter what!
What's Your Experience?
I started as a cellist at Age 5. Eventually, I started a rock and roll band (guitarist and singer) and then joined an acapella group in college. I toured with them around the world in the summer of 2012. While in Shanghai I had my first nightclub experience and started my DJing journey in the EDM space. But within a couple of years I had shifted into Open Format (spinning a mix of genres). I soon started a nightlife company and poured the profits into my first music studio and my self-education as a music producer and recording artist (Check out https://alexanderpadei.com for more on that!).
Fast forward to today, I have an international range of experiences as a professional DJ in every genre you could think of, from Mo-Town and Funk, to R&B and Hip Hop, to Reggaeton, Island, EDM and House.
That's over a Decade of DJing, Singing, Producing and Hosting experience!
How Do You Cater To My Needs?
Wedding DJing is like consulting. I'm here to get you the results you need. We begin with a Musical Needs call, where we look at the styles you need, the demographics present at your event, and so on. My team will research and create playlists for the different sections of your event. For instance, if there's a dinner and dancing portion, we'll create playlists for each. We'll also go over any Special Moments that require specific music to back the experience.
We won't stop going back and forth until we're 100% certain you're happy with our selections.
Additional Note: Some clients like to have their audience participate. We can send your audience a song request form that allows them to take part (you always have veto rights!)
How Do You Cater To The Crowd?
Once that research has been handled, we are in a great position to blow the doors off your party. My 10 years of experience allows me to listen to the crowd and respond dynamically to their needs. I'm always paying attention and taking your requests and live crowd feedback into account, simultaneously.
Furthermore, if you want me to take song requests, I absolutely will! If not, that works, too. Every client is different!
What Makes You Special?
I bring an international range of music knowledge together with great energy and stage presence.
But I go beyond DJing. I sing, too, naturally integrating live performance moments into my sets to make things extra dynamic. Furthermore, I bring the smooth, classy, Bruno Mars / Jason Derulo vibe to your event, while still turning the energy up to 11, wherever necessary.
Can You Perform With Live Musicians?
Absolutely. I regularly do so. This package is called “Musicology." I recommend it if you want the flexibility of a DJ combined with the energy of a band. I recommend a Drummer and Saxophonist. Because of my past experience leading bands and classical music groups, I have the experience to glue the musicians together – even if it's our first time working together!

I Don't Know What Music I Want / How To Choose The Right Music…
Don't worry! We know events inside and out. Many of our clients are unsure of what they want, musically, at first. Part of our job is to ask you the right questions, whether it's a club night, fashion event, corporate event or wedding. We'll guide you through the process and deliver you the right musical experience, no matter what.

I Want To Be Fully Involved In The Music Selection / I Just Want You To Handle Selection For Me!
No matter how hands on / off you prefer to be, no matter how specific or general your needs, we are flexible and will adapt in our approach in order to work with you on your terms! Regardless of the collaborative process, we will deliver an excellent experience for you and your community.
What Are The Payment Terms?
A contract signature and 50% upfront are required to book me. That 50% is non-refundable (except in a case where I don't provide great service). The second 50% is due the day before the event.
Main payment formats: Zelle, PayPal, Venmo
Do You Need A Break During Your Performance
Typically I won't need a break for anything less than 3 hours. However, I may need a short bathroom break for 4+ hour sets. Depending on the context or timing, I will simply play a prerecorded play list so that the energy stays high in the meantime.
How Do You Handle Multiple Rooms Or Setups? For Cocktail Hour & Reception, For Instance
I can bring additional speakers and playback systems so that different music can play in each room, that way, we ensure a smooth transition from section to section of the event.
How Many Team Members Do You Bring?
I typically come as a team of 1 or 2, depending on the size of the event.
What Does A Standard Package Get Me?
Typically my starting packages include:
- 2 Speakers, All DJ Gear, Microphones
- The DJ Performance (singing naturally integrated during the DJ set, at my discretion)
- Optional Hosting / Emceeing Included
- Travel, Etc.
NOTE: We are more than happy to cater to any style you need. If you prefer NO emceeing, Singing or talking on the mic, don't hesitate to let us know.
Extra Upgrades Available:
- Dedicated Dinner Singing Performances + Specific / Custom Singer Song Requests
- Musicology Upgrade (Saxophonist, Drummer)
- Lighting And Other Additional Production
All We Need Is:
- A 6 - 8 ft table
- An outlet within 20 feet from the table
- A table cloth
